Laarschot Marine Survey was founded in 1968 and expanded into bunker surveys, dry and wet bulk cargo surveys and project cargo after Eric van der Spek and Dennis de Witte took over in the 1990s. Since Dennis de Witte retired in 2024, Michael van der Spek and Kees Breukhoven have joined the management. Its surveyors have backgrounds on seagoing ships and inland barges, and the firm mainly operates in the ARAG region around Rotterdam and Amsterdam while also taking work worldwide.
