Dorset Marine Surveys was set up in 1997 by Mark Lockie (1947-2024), who brought more than 50 years of surveying to the business. It is now led by Neil, a trained GRP boatbuilder and repairer with over 30 years at sea that began on fishing vessels. The firm carries out MCA coding, on/off-hire, condition and damage surveys, valuations, tonnage and thickness measurement, engine surveys and new-build and refit supervision on workboats, tugs, fishing boats and yachts, from a unit at Granby Industrial Estate.
