BMP Marine Consultants and Surveyors dates from 2005 and was started by Zlatomir "Zach" Vergiev, a NAMS surveyor and Liberian flag auditor and a 1990 Bulgarian Marine Academy graduate. He captained the 320-passenger air cushion craft San Fragisk and spent over ten years with Alex Stewart International on draft surveys, scrap steel and cargo inspections. The firm handles commercial vessel and cargo surveys, pre-vetting, help with TMSA and audits under ISM, ISPS and MLC, and says it does not do pre-purchase surveys of pleasure craft.
